Eric Holder Complains About Billionaires in an Anti-Trump Rant

Updated: Dec 10, 2024

By R. House, December 9, 2024

Let’s begin by examining the net worth of Eric Holder. According to Wealthy Gorilla, Holder’s net worth is estimated to be nearly $12 million USD (source: Wealthy Gorilla). This figure is well above the average American income, which, as of 2024, is reported to be approximately $59,228 annually, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). In fact, this translates to a median weekly income of about $1,139 for Americans in the first quarter of 2024. (Source: BLS)

It is important to note that American income trends have changed under different administrations. Under former President Donald Trump, the average American income saw an increase, while under President Joe Biden, the trend has reversed. According to recent data, the median household income in 2021 was $70,784, according to the Current Population Survey (CPS). In contrast, median personal income adjusted for cost of living averaged $47,807 in 2016. (Source: U.S. Census Bureau)

In a recent article from The Gateway Pundit, Cristina Laila highlights how former Attorney General Eric Holder, a key figure in President Obama’s administration, criticized billionaires in a swipe at Trump’s transition team. While Holder rants about the wealthy, it’s important to consider the hypocrisy of such statements, especially when Holder himself is a millionaire.

Holder's position mirrors that of Bernie Sanders, who regularly complains about "billionaires and millionaires" not paying their fair share, despite having become a millionaire through book sales and his political career. The irony here is glaring: people like Holder and Sanders, who benefit from wealth and status, criticize others in similar financial positions. The lack of self-awareness and the audacity of these "elites" is staggering.

Americans do not need politicians like Holder or Sanders, who have amassed significant wealth, lecturing them about the struggles of the average person. These so-called "elites" are the very "rich people" they claim to stand against. As The Gateway Pundit points out, their actions betray their words. (Source: The Gateway Pundit)

Simply put: stop patronizing the American public by claiming to understand their struggles. While you criticize figures like Trump for being a billionaire, many of these elites live lives of luxury, enjoying privileges that most Americans can only dream of. The hypocrisy is undeniable.

It’s time to reject the lectures from limousine liberals who live in a world far removed from the reality of everyday Americans. Thank you, but no thanks.
