Trump Orders Federal Workers to Remove Pronouns From Employee Signatures

Federal employees across multiple agencies were directed to remove their pronouns from all official communications, including government grant applications and email signatures effective today, January 31, 2025 by 5pm EST.

This mandate was signed by President Trump on his first day in office and is based on two executive orders aimed to curb “radical and wasteful DEI programs” in an effort to “restore biological truth to the federal government.”  This directive is part of a broader policy push by the Trump administration to dismantle DEI initiatives within federal institutions and also includes changes to how gender or sex is referenced in government documents and policies.

In addition, email systems will be reviewed in order to disable features that prompt for pronouns.  Contracts or programs related to "gender ideology" will be reviewed and terminated.

These actions are part of a crackdown on gender theory/ideology within the federal workforce, aligning with Trump's broader policy agenda, resulting in a reduction of government involvement in cultural/ideological debates.  This order also acts as a remedy to the woke-progressive obsession with identity politics that our nation has been forced to endure, welcoming in a much-needed correction to public policy and a return to common sense.
