The Truth Of Democrat Sedition

In a stunning display of partisan desperation, six Democratic lawmakers—all with backgrounds in the military or intelligence community—released a slickly produced video urging active-duty service members and intelligence officials to "refuse illegal orders."

Led by Senators Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), along with Representatives Jason Crow (D-CO), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Chris Deluzio (D-PA), and Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), the video invokes the historic naval rallying cry "Don't Give Up the Ship" while repeatedly hammering the message: "Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders... You must refuse illegal orders."

On the surface, this sounds like a noble reminder of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which indeed requires service members to disobey manifestly unlawful commands—such as orders to commit war crimes. This principle has been a cornerstone of military training since the Nuremberg trials, protecting troops from being scapegoated for atrocities.

But context is everything, and the timing and vagueness of this video reveals it for what it truly is: a thinly veiled attempt to sow doubt in the chain of command under President Trump, encouraging insubordination against lawful policies the left despises.

The video emerged amid two key Trump administration actions: aggressive military strikes on suspected narco-terrorist vessels in international waters (which have disrupted drug trafficking but raised questions from some allies about proportionality) and the deployment of National Guard troops to protect federal facilities and assist in immigration enforcement in several U.S. cities facing unrest.

These are not rogue operations; they are executive actions rooted in the president's constitutional authority as commander-in-chief and existing laws on counternarcotics and domestic security.

Yet the Democrats pointedly avoid specifying any "illegal" orders, instead broadly warning that "threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home"—a clear dog-whistle implying the duly elected president is the domestic threat.

This isn't principled oversight, it's premeditated subversion.

By broadcasting this message publicly to troops, these lawmakers are not educating—they are politicizing the military, inviting individual service members to second-guess lawful directives based on their own (or the Democrats') partisan interpretations.

In practice, what constitutes an "illegal order" is rarely black-and-white in real time; it's determined through the military justice system, not viral videos from opposition politicians still bitter about the 2024 election.

Encouraging troops to preemptively defy orders sews chaos in the ranks, undermines unit cohesion, and leads to hesitation in critical moments when swift action is needed to protect American lives and interests.

People on the right, people with actual common sense, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and conservative commentators, quickly labeled it for what it is: a call for mutiny dressed up as constitutional vigilance.

President Trump himself condemned it as "seditious behavior," highlighting how it erodes the military's apolitical nature. And history shows the left has no qualms about weaponizing such rhetoric when it suits them—recall their silence when progressive activists in 2020 urged National Guard troops to ignore deployment orders during riots, or when local officials in Portland openly called for defiance against federal protection of courthouses.

The backlash from these Democrats and their allies has been revealing. When called out for flirting with sedition—inciting disobedience to the commander-in-chief during a time of heightened national security challenges—their responses devolved into profanity-laced meltdowns on social media and cable news.

Slotkin and others accused outraged America of "threatening violence" (in reference to Trump's strong words), while progressive pundits hurled expletives, claiming anyone questioning their video "hates the Constitution."

This unhinged rage, far from defending American values, exposes a deeper truth: their actions are designed to obstruct efforts to secure America's borders, disrupt deadly drug flows, and maintain order against violent agitators who have spent years destabilizing cities under the guise of "protest." In other words, their clear intent is to harm America.

At its core, this episode lays bare the modern left's playbook: when they lose elections, they don't accept the results—they seek to paralyze the winners. By signaling to the military that it's okay to pick and choose orders based on political alignment, these six lawmakers are prioritizing ideology over national unity.

Their behavior doesn't protect the Constitution; it weakens the very institutions that safeguard it.

Their vitriolic, curse-filled defenses when confronted only confirm what millions of Americans already suspect: the Democratic Party harbors a profound resentment toward a strong, secure America under conservative leadership.

The American people see through it. They voted for stability, sovereignty, and strength—not endless sabotage from sore losers in Congress.

If these lawmakers truly loved the country they claim to defend, they'd work through proper channels to oversee policy, not broadcast subversive messages that endanger troops and embolden America's adversaries. Their actions speak louder than their scripted video: in their quest to "resist," they are the ones actively working to keep America divided, vulnerable, and in decline.

These are the true enemies of the United States of America.
