Scott Presler Confronts Bucks County Commissioners Over Election Integrity

Updated: Dec 4, 2024

Scott Presler, known for driving a significant increase in Republican voter registration in Pennsylvania, has publicly criticized the Bucks County commissioners, alleging election misconduct and vowing to bring about substantial changes in future elections.

As the founder of Early Vote Action, Presler has been at the forefront of efforts to enhance election integrity and mobilize Republican voters. His recent work has led to a notable shift in Bucks County, which now sees a Republican voter majority for the first time since modern records began.

During a contentious Bucks County Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, attendees, described by Presler as "patriots," gathered in large numbers, calling for the resignation of commissioners accused of facilitating electoral fraud in an attempt to influence the Senate race in favor of Democrat Bob Casey.

Presler directly addressed the accusations against the county's leadership, focusing on the reported difficulties faced by voters during early voting sessions.

He acknowledged the efforts of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and its co-chair, Lara Trump, for their legal battles which resulted in extended voting periods:

"Bucks County has seen significant changes recently. Not only have we shifted the political landscape by having more Republicans than Democrats, but we've also faced issues with voter access. I want to extend my gratitude to Chairman Michael Watley and Co-Chair Lara Trump for their legal efforts that provided an additional three days for in-person early voting. This was crucial after voters were wrongly turned away from casting their ballots."

The Trump-Vance campaign, along with the RNC, has initiated legal action against Bucks County, alleging that election officials impeded Republican voters' ability to vote via on-demand mail-in processes. An incident highlighted by a voter at the Upper Bucks Government Service Center in Quakertown saw voting lines being cut off prematurely, hours before the official closing time.

Presler's critique was particularly harsh towards Commissioner Diane Marseglia, who he accused of openly flouting election laws by counting ballots that were undated or misdated:

"In this global spotlight, we have a commissioner, Diane Marsiglia, who declared that judicial precedents no longer hold weight. She admitted to law-breaking to supposedly draw attention from the courts. But the Pennsylvania Supreme Court had already ruled against such practices.

“I want to state clearly: if you do not resign today, rest assured, in 2027, we will be challenging your seat peacefully. This applies to you as well, Commissioner Harvey, for your complicity. Legal professionals like Marc Elias, involved in these actions, should face disbarment for their role in this debacle. Over the next three years, my focus will be on ensuring Bucks County returns to fair governance."
