Russia Open to Ukraine Peace Talks as Long as Trump Starts Them, But Those Need To Be Based on the "Realities on the Ground"- AMBASSADOR

Donald Trump won the American Presidential Elections by a landslide.Trump has taken upon himself the responsibility to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Russia is open to peace negotiations regarding Ukraine if initiated by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Any peace talks must be based on the 'realities of Russian advances' as stated by Gennady Gatilov, Russia's ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva.

Trump criticized the amount of Western aid to Kyiv during his campaign. Trump has promised to end the Ukraine conflict immediately.

Trump's victory has raised concerns in Ukraine and Europe about the future U.S. commitment to aid Ukraine.

Russian forces are advancing quickly in Ukraine and control about one-fifth of the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insists peace can only be achieved with the return of all territories captured by Moscow, including Crimea.

Zelensky's victory plan includes an invitation for Ukraine to join NATO, which Russia opposes.

Zelensky stated that making territorial concessions would be 'unacceptable for Ukraine and suicidal for all Europe.'

Trump's election might open a new avenue for dialogue between the U.S. and Russia.A broader reset in U.S.-Russia relations is considered unlikely by the Russian ambassador.
