Silent Hill f

Silent Hill f has been banned in Australia before its release. Konami's new horror game was refused classification, meaning significant changes are needed for it to be available there. The ban may be due to depictions of "child abuse" or "drug-induced hallucinations," which have previously caused issues with the Australian government.

The Postal series, Fallout 3, and Hotline Miami 2 faced similar bans. Fallout 3's ban was overturned with some content censored, but it's uncertain if Silent Hill f will have the same outcome. Fans may have to wait or consider importing the game.

Silent Hill f seems to be one of the scariest games in the series, rated 18+ in Japan. The ESRB description mentions "faces ripped apart," "a character burned alive inside a cage," and "entrails displayed on serving platters." The game's store page includes a disclaimer advising players to take breaks if they feel uncomfortable.

Australia's rating of 'RC' (Refused Classification) means the game won't be released without changes. The reasons for refusal were not specified, but likely relate to "gender discrimination, child abuse, bullying, drug-induced hallucinations, torture, and graphic violence." Silent Hill: Homecoming was previously banned in Australia but released in a censored state the following year. Video game bans are still common in Australia; most recently, Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact was banned ahead of its launch. Is anyone surprised by Australia’s preemptive ban on Silent Hill f?Credit to an awesome Rumble content creator, Sophomore John, for bringing this news to our attention. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

The recent list of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 skaters returning for the upcoming game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 did not initially include Bam Margera. However, it has now been reported that Margera will be a part of the final release.

Roger Bagley, a veteran in skateboarding media, shared the news during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast. According to Bagley, the game was “already done” when Tony Hawk contacted Activision to request the inclusion of Margera. Despite an initial refusal from Activision, Hawk persisted to ensure Margera's addition.

Margera, known for his career as a professional skateboarder and his role in the Jackass film and TV series, has had a public struggle with alcohol and substance issues, leading to multiple rehab stints. He was dismissed from Jackass Forever and has been subject to a restraining order granted to Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.

A video recently surfaced of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together, sparking speculation about Margera’s possible return to the game.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Iron Galaxy is developing the project, which was revived after being scrapped due to Activision’s merger of the previous series developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.

Everywhere

Several veterans from GTA have ambitious plans for their first game after leaving Rockstar. Former Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies, who worked with the developer for nearly two decades, founded a new studio called Build A Rocket Boy. The studio is preparing to release Everywhere, an open-world project that includes explorable biomes and game modes. It also features user-generated content similar to Roblox and a separate AAA game named MindsEye, which resembles GTA.

Ex-Rockstar North QA lead and current Build A Rocket Boy associate game director Adam Whiting provided more details about the project in an interview with Edge Magazine. He explained that the open world would not be limited to the studio's version but would also include versions created by other players, similar to Minecraft servers. There are official servers as well as custom servers with varied themes, such as a zombie apocalypse or user-created narratives.

Whiting emphasized that the success of Everywhere might depend on the quality of its user-generated content tools. Similar platforms, like Roblox and certain Minecraft servers, have seen significant success with 'hit' games and innovative gameplay experiences. The expectations are high for Everywhere's tools to deliver similarly impressive results.
