Cronos: The New Dawn
By Yefune Kenizi
Bloober Team has unveiled a two-minute Gameplay Showcase trailer for their forthcoming third-person survival horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn. The trailer features combat scenes involving multiple adversaries in urban streets and deserted shops. Cronos: The New Dawn immerses players in the deteriorating district of New Dawn, which is inspired by the real-life location of Nowa Huta. Players assume the role of a Traveller, an agent of the enigmatic Collective. Cronos: The New Dawn is slated for release this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
Set across two distinct time periods—the desolate ruins of a post-apocalyptic future and 1980s Poland—Cronos: The New Dawn immerses players in the deteriorating district of New Dawn, inspired by the real-life location of Nowa Huta. Players assume the role of a Traveller, an agent of the enigmatic Collective, who emerges from a dystopian future to journey back in time and rescue key individuals before they become casualties of the apocalypse. As players navigate a world teetering on the edge of destruction, they will encounter grotesque adversaries known as the Orphans—distorted, body-horror monstrosities that have emerged from humanity’s deepest fears.
In the latest announcement, the tagline "Don't Let Them Merge" highlights a key mechanic of the game: downed enemies do not remain incapacitated indefinitely. If their bodies are not incinerated, these defeated adversaries can be absorbed by other existing enemies. Through a process known as Merging, enemies transform into faster, stronger, more resilient, and significantly more formidable creatures, acquiring additional abilities for combat.
Cronos: The New Dawn introduces an updated combat system along with exciting features. Players will preview fierce weapons, terrifying enemies, and Brutalist architecture distorted by anomalies. The game also includes mysterious characters with hidden agendas. Cronos: The New Dawn offers a story full of secrets and enduring suspense. The game's soundtrack, composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski in collaboration with the Polish-Ukrainian indie folk band Zazula, features haunting vocals that blend synth horror with avant-garde textures. The result is an eerie and immersive score that perfectly matches the game's world. |

Marvel's Wolverine and Intergalactic
By: Yefune Kenizi

During the recent Business Segment Presentation and Fireside Chat, Sony included both Marvel’s Wolverine and Intergalactic in the list of "upcoming" single-player games for its annual lineup. This indicates that these games will not be released this fiscal year, unlike Ghost of Yōtei and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which are set to be major releases before March 31, 2026. It should be noted that Marvel's Wolverine and Intergalactic may not launch in 2027 either.
In 2023, more than 1.3 million internal files from Insomniac Games were leaked on the internet following a hack by the ransomware group Rhysida. The documents, totaling 1.67 terabytes of data, were released after Insomniac Games declined to pay for their retrieval. These files contain confidential information regarding several of the studio's forthcoming projects, including images, alpha footage, concept art, financial details, projections, and release dates. A substantial portion of the leak pertains to the anticipated title Marvel’s Wolverine, which was revealed to be targeting a 2026 release window and is expected to be followed by multiple subsequent titles. However, this information may be outdated and has not been officially confirmed.
Silent Hill Remake
By: Yefune Kenizi

Bloober Team and Konami have announced the development of a remake of the original Silent Hill game during the recent Konami Press Start livestream. However, additional details were not disclosed at that time. A teaser trailer featuring the original game's theme song was also released. Silent Hill 2 was launched on October 8, 2024, and is currently available for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam. The Silent Hill 2 remake allows players to experience psychological survival horror with enhanced visuals and sounds on the latest hardware, acclaimed as the best in the series.
Silent Hill is the inaugural installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike previous survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the protagonist Harry Mason is an ordinary individual. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. Additionally, the controller vibration indicates Harry’s heartbeat and activates when his health is low. The player is required to frequently access the inventory screen to check Harry’s health, utilize items, and equip various weapons.
