Another Hoax Bites the Dust - Democrat Gov Pritzker and Fake News Embarrass Themselves

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) officials stated ICE agents attempted to enter Hamline Elementary School on Friday morning. This claim was made public through various news outlets and by school officials. It was later clarified by multiple sources that the agents who approached the school were from the U.S. Secret Service to investigate a threat and were not there to conduct an immigration enforcement action.

Several news outlets such as the Chicago Tribune, NBC Chicago, and CBS Chicago reported the initial incident as an ICE raid but later had to issue corrections clarifying that it was the Secret Service. Governor J.B. Pritzker reacted to the various initial reports by expressing concerns, stating the actions and targeting of schools was "cruel and un-American" before he had the facts.

The initial reports caused fear and confusion in areas with large "immigrant" populations. Local leaders, including from the Chicago Federation of Labor and Congress members, condemned the presence of federal agents at schools when they were under the impression these were ICE agents.

ICE officially denied any involvement in the incident at the School, further clarifying the situation by stating it was not an ICE operation.
