Eric Hovde, a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison, WI, has been associated with several organizations and movements that have raised concerns among observers. These connections include work with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and bio-tech industries, including those involved in stem cell research from aborted babies. This article reveals his ties to the Transgender Agenda, particularly in relation to children, a topic that has been at the forefront of the political and cultural zeitgeist.
Hovde recently ran as a Senate candidate with support from some conservative figures, the connections outlined here will raise troubling questions. Hovde’s church, Bethel Lutheran, is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which can be verified through this link:

One of the more concerning affiliations is the church's connection to the Reconciling In Christ (RIC) program, which actively promotes inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals, including support for the transgender movement. You can read more about RIC here

The RIC program’s use of the rainbow heart icon signals strong support for LGBTQ+ rights. Bethel Lutheran Church uses the same icon on their website. The church’s welcome statement reads:
“We welcome you who have ever felt excluded by the church because of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical or mental ability, family or economic status, or for a reason known only to you. We welcome you whether church life is familiar to you or your faith journey is new, whether you are certain in your beliefs or unsure what you believe.”

This welcoming stance is clearly at odds with traditional conservative and Christian values, particularly on issues like homosexuality and gender identity, where the Bible holds more restrictive views. Simply put, promoting such inclusivity, especially in relation to children, has harmful consequences. Consider the suicide rate among "transgender youth", which is ridiculously high. A trend of death that can be avoided completely by counseling youth suffering from this social-contagion. Most youth suffer from an "identity crisis", especially as they near puberty! This changes emotional, physiological and physical can be very distressing but just being and awkward teen, uncomfortable in their own skin is hard cause to allow surgery or hormone therapy!
RIC has suggested resources support this destructive meddling in the natural development of youths who are struggling with their identity; their place in the world!
The RIC reading list openly pushes the transgender rights movement, including books and materials geared toward children. One particular resource includes a video about Rebekah Bruesehoff, a young "transgender girl" (boy in a dress) who has been actively involved in advocacy for transgender rights. Such children are typically pushed into this ideology by parents that are themselves dealing with serious mental health issues, sometimes approaching Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. While this disorder usually expresses its effects by mothers faking or causing a child's illness the parallels are clear: Hormone therapy and surgeries have catastrophic effects on youths. Even just the "socially trans" youth has disastrous results as a child ages. Children are direct and often cruel in their mocking of any child who deviates from the norm. This can be something as small as a child having the wrong style shoes. Now imagine if it were discovered the "new girl" in class is actually a boy!
You can find more about these resources here:
A video linked to one of these resources features Rebekah Bruesehoff speaking about her experience as a transgender child and her involvement in rallies and advocacy.

Given these connections, the question arises: How can Hovde, who claims to be a conservative Christian, reconcile his beliefs with the promotion of the Transgender Agenda in his church?
